Hey you guuuyyyyyyss!
(Bonus points if you read it as a Goonies reference.)
So- real talk.
You know that feeling when you see something you truly love and soon your entire body is just completely engulfed in warmth?
Man, I love that feeling. It just fills you up. I had no idea what it was until I had my girls. The first time it happened was watching my husband as he leaned over the heater unit of our newly born baby girl. Her little hand reached up and held his finger and it’s like the entire world stopped as I watched them meet. It’s like this crazy mixture of overwhelming pride, and hope, and joy, and EXCITEMENT, and just this incredible FORCE of….love. So I took a picture. Every time I look at that picture I get that same feeling.
That’s what I want you to feel every time you look at your photos.
I want you to be able to look back and feel the warmth of the little hands holding yours walking through a field. Or the newborn breath on your chest after a million hours of cluster feeding and teething. Or the pure joy of hearing that real, authentic belly laugh. Life is just so brief. (And wonderful and inspiring….and sometimes hard.) That sometimes we forget to take the time to capture why we work so hard, and who for. I call those 'the lost moments'. The "remember when's". Photographs are often the only way we can step back in to that absolutely encompassing feeling of love from the most significant points in our lives and see them EXACTLY how they were. Even when memories fade. Even if they don’t seem as significant at the time. You deserve to preserve those soul-crushingly beautiful babies in pieces of actual art to enjoy years after their adventures at home come to an end
Here is where I can help.
For most of my life, I have been an artist far more than a photographer. And just like I would paint on my canvas, I am passionate about developing an image that you can actually FEEL and not just see.
These are the moments that you will cherish for years to come. This point in your life is exhausting. It is so draining to constantly be needed. We can get to the point where we are so dang delirious and sleep deprived that we stop seeing the magic in our daily lives. But we can press “pause” on this precious chapter of your family’s story, just for today. Because however exhausting, it’s incredibly beautiful. The good, the bad, the imperfectly perfect...they can all give the warm fuzzies.
I’m here to help you embrace the warmth of every moment and in doing so, create a one of a kind masterpiece of your one of a kind family.
**In each session there may be: tickling, snort-laughing, fart noises, and LOTS of awkward dancing from yours truly.
